PGT Windows & Doors in Miami, FL | TruePane Windows & Doors

We provide independent PGT window and door service across Miami, from Kendall to Little Havana to the barrier island. The difference here is simple: our techs work on more Miami-Dade NOA-approved Impact Windows - Miami impact lines than any independent shop in the county, and our service calls often start where big-box retrofitters stop, at failed anchors in CBS block, salt-corroded frames, and historic-board compliance issues. Call (561) 489-4036 if your PGT windows or doors are giving you trouble. Estimates are free, and a live person answers the phone.

Why Miami Residents Choose Us for PGT Service

Most window companies in Miami can sell you a PGT product. Far fewer can service one correctly after it has spent a decade facing Biscayne Bay salt air, hurricane wind cycles, and the particular demands of concrete block construction. Our crews have torn into enough PGT WinGuard and 2200 series frames to know exactly what fails, why it fails, and whether the fix is a new sash or a full-frame re-anchor.

Dale Kessler, our owner, learned glazing from his father’s two-bay shop in Columbus, Ohio, and spent nearly two decades on residential and commercial installs before TruePane established itself across South Florida. He reads a rough opening carefully before ordering glass, and he has never been one to tell a homeowner what they want to hear over what the frame is actually showing. Every quote comes with line items on paper, both manufacturer warranty layers registered in writing, and a 90-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right without arguing.

We are an independent PGT service provider. We are not manufacturer-affiliated, and we do not pretend to be an authorized dealer. That independence means we tell you the truth about whether a repair will hold or whether a full-frame NOA re-fit is the only thing that will pass your next Miami-Dade reinspection. We also do PGT sales & service for homeowners who want the same crew that repairs their frames to handle the replacement.

Common PGT Windows & Doors Problems We Solve in Miami

  • Fogged or delaminated IGUs in non-impact PGT 2200 sliders. Miami’s year-round humidity meets aggressive air conditioning, and the result on older double-pane units is seal failure, fogging, and interior condensation between the glass. We replace the sealed unit with an OEM PGT IGU when the frame is sound. If the frame has also moved, we will tell you before you spend the money.
  • Corroded or oxidized aluminum frames on WinGuard Aluminum sashes. Near the coast, the salt air off Biscayne Bay eats the anodized finish measurably faster than even 15 to 20 miles inland. The lower sashes pit first, especially on South Florida condos built within a few blocks of the water. We can often restore the hardware and replace the sash when the structure is intact, and we will say plainly when the corrosion has gone too far.
  • Failed lag anchors in deteriorated 1950s-80s CBS mortar beds. Miami’s residential backbone is concrete block, and after forty or fifty years of humidity and thermal cycling, the mortar around original anchors is often soft as chalk. This causes frame racking and roller bind on WinGuard Vinyl sliders. We re-anchor with stainless steel into sound block, not the original holes.
  • Hissing or misaligned interlocks on older WinGuard Vinyl casements. Coastal wind stress and salt-laden gasket fatigue work on vinyl interlocks until the sash no longer seats square. The fix is usually new OEM interlock components and a re-alignment, not a whole window. We will tell you which.
  • Jalousie-to-impact conversions in pre-1994 homes. Kendall, Hialeah, and Little Havana are full of original jalousie and single-pane aluminum sliders that never met a hurricane code. When those openings are set directly in block with no buck, the replacement is not a simple insert job. We handle the masonry work and the PGT impact unit as one scope.

PGT Service in Miami: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Miami-Dade County enforces the most stringent hurricane-impact window and door standard in the United States. Products must carry a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance, or NOA, based on the Large Missile Impact Test, a bar stricter than what Broward or Palm Beach counties require. What too few homeowners understand is that passing that test the day the window leaves the factory is not the same as passing a reinspection after ten years of Miami weather and a couple of repaint jobs. In Miami Beach’s Historic Preservation overlay, roughly 5th to 23rd Streets on the barrier island, PGT’s standard WinGuard Aluminum impact windows are routinely rejected by the board because the sightlines do not match the original 1930s-40s steel casements. That one strip of geography forces crews into specialty steel or thermally broken aluminum profiles, a niche most Dade installers never touch. Yet just across the causeway in Kendall or Hialeah, the same WinGuard line is the default code-passing option. If your PGT windows live in either world, you need a service crew that knows which one applies and what the board will actually accept. We serve the whole Miami market, and we have been through both reinspections.

PGT Models & Products We Service in Miami

We work on the PGT lines most common in Miami-Dade: WinGuard Vinyl, WinGuard Aluminum, PGT 5500 Series, and PGT 2200 Series. Our approach on parts is straightforward: we use OEM PGT sealed units, rollers, and locking hardware whenever the frame is sound. WinGuard’s interlock geometry is proprietary, and aftermarket parts rarely seat correctly under wind-load testing. When the frame anchor points or corner welds are compromised, a new sash is money wasted, and we will tell you that before you authorize any work. We keep common OEM parts for the 2200 and WinGuard lines stocked locally so most Miami service calls finish in a single visit.

PGT Service Pricing in Miami

PGT service pricing in Miami runs on a few consistent lines. A roller or lock replacement on a slider typically starts around $90 to $180 per window, depending on the hardware. Replacing a fogged IGU on a non-impact PGT 2200 usually falls between $250 and $550 per sash. Full sash replacement on a WinGuard Aluminum unit near the coast often lands between $450 and $800, while a full-frame NOA re-fit runs $1,200 to $2,800 per opening, factoring in the anchoring and masonry work that CBS-block Miami homes frequently require. Wood buck or masonry restoration adds to the bill when the original opening has been sitting in salt air for decades. Every estimate is a written line-item quote, and the price we quote is the price on the invoice, no surprise add-ons. Call (561) 489-4036 for an exact quote on your PGT windows or doors. Estimates are free.

What Neighbors Say About TruePane Windows & Doors

★★★★★

"Impact windows on the whole house. They handled the permit, the inspection, and gave me a folder with every approval number for the insurance company. My windstorm premium dropped enough to notice."

BBill T.
★★★★★

"French doors to the patio, custom size because this house was built in 1961 and nothing is standard. Measured twice, three weeks to fabricate like they warned, and the install day they laid runners over my floors without being asked."

MMarie S.
★★★★★

"A casement crank had stripped and the sash was swollen shut. The technician, Ray, fixed the crank on the spot and only then talked about replacement for the three windows that were genuinely done. That is why the whole street uses them now."

EEleanor G.
★★★★★

"Eleven windows replaced in two days. The crew chief, Marcus, showed me the level on every single frame before they caulked it. My wife noticed the street noise was gone before I did."

RRonald P.
★★★★★

"Our bay window had rotted at the sill and two other outfits wanted to talk us into a flat picture window instead. TruePane rebuilt the opening and matched the original look. Neighbors have knocked on the door about it."

GGene A.
★★★★

"Quote was the price, which after three other bids that grew legs was worth something. Double-hungs went in clean, they hauled the old ones, and the registration paperwork for the warranty came in the mail like they said."
